The Gasteinertal ski region is among the most popular in Austria. Not only is it famous for its Alpine World Cup ski races but also for its reputation as spa and wellness town. This destination is perfect for anyone who wants to combine skiing or snowboarding with wellness in the Gastein spa world.
There are different ski areas in the Gasteinertal region which vary in difficulty. There are four large ski areas with a total of 51 lifts in the region. The Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel areas form the most connected ski area, the Sportgastein ski area features the highest summits, the Dorfgastein-Großarl connected ski area is famous for its family friendliness. More than 200 km of well-prepared downhills plus many deep snow runs, mogul slopes and funparks provide a multi-varied skiing experience.
